The Christmas Lottery accounts for around 50 percent of the National Lottery's annual sales and "El Niño" around 13 percent, while the remaining 36 percent comes from the hundred or so drawings normally held on Thursdays and Saturdays the rest of the year. These are some of the data highlighted in the Spanish Gaming Yearbook 2012-2013, recently presented by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the CODERE Foundation.
