Deterministic Reshaping of Single-Photon Spectra Using Cross-Phase Modulation (1 of 2) (IMAGE)
Caption
This is a color change of an intense, near-infrared light in an optical fiber. An optical phenomenon was used to change a spectrum of single photons. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the March 25, 2016 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by N. Matsuda at NTT Corporation in Atsugi, Japan, and colleagues was titled, "Deterministic reshaping of single-photon spectra using cross-phase modulation."
