Nest-Box Distribution Experiment -- Blue Orchard Bees (IMAGE)
Caption
In a study of nesting habits of managed blue orchard bees (Osmia lingnaria) in a tart cherry orchard in Utah, experiment zones with uniform distribution of nest-box location resulted in higher nesting and larvae production than zones with a large central nest location and several satellite nests near the perimeter.
