This is a transmission electron micrograph and electron diffraction pattern of MgSiO3 tetragonal majorite discovered in a shocked meteorite. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the March 25, 2016 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by N. Tomioka at Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology in Nankoku, Japan, and colleagues was titled, "Discovery of natural MgSiO3 tetragonal garnet in a shocked chondritic meteorite."
