This shows the Sugar Pine Dam field site during CalWater 2011. Precipitation samples were collected near the trailer that housed the ATOFMS instrument. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 28, 2013, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The paper, by Jessie Creamean at University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, Calif., and colleagues was titled, “Dust and Biological Aerosols from the Sahara and Asia Influence Precipitation in the Western U.S.”
