XUE Yongquan is currently working at the Department of Astronomy, University of Science and Technology of China. The research interests of his group mainly focus on X-ray high-energy astrophysics. An image of a mysterious magnetar is in the bottom-left panel of the screen. The top-right panel shows an image of an active galactic nucleus, one of the celestial bodies XUE is interested in. The bottom-right panel is part of the image of the 7Ms Chandra Deep Field-South survey that was carried out by the Chandra X-ray Observatory as shown in the top-left panel.
