Dynamic Measurement Model Improves the Predictive Power of Standardized Test Scores (IMAGE)
Caption
The dynamic measurement model estimates future learning potential by fitting a curve to test scores over time. These test scores make up a learning curve, which often looks like a sideways letter 'J.' A point on the learning curve represents the amount of knowledge at the current point in time. The maximum or ceiling of the curve is an estimate of the learning potential.
