At 10:15 a.m. EST (1515 UTC) on Jan. 13, NASA's Terra satellite showed cloud tops north and west of the center of circulation in the remnant low pressure area of Tropical Depression 01W were as cold as minus 70 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 56.6 degrees Celsius) in red.
