The original concept for the experiment of the tissue-engineered ray that Prof. Kevin Kit Parker drew on a napkin on Jan. 28, 2014. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the July 8, 2016 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S.-J. Park at Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering in Cambridge, MA, and colleagues was titled, "Phototactic guidance of a tissue-engineered soft-robotic ray."
