Tickling-induced ultrasonic vocalizations of a rat while in an anxious state (bright light and elevated platform). The audio signal provides ultrasonic vocalizations that have been transposed to the human audible range. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 11 November 2016, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S. Ishiyama at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Berlin, Germany, and colleagues was titled, "Neural correlates of ticklishness in the rat somatosensory cortex."
