Salmonella (IMAGE) Arizona State University Caption Non-typhoidal Salmonella causes widespread illness in America and around the globe, producing symptoms of food borne illness, including gastroenteritis. Both types of Salmonella respond to fluid shear forces, though they do so in different ways, as the new study shows.
