NO2 column densities in 1015 molecules/cm2 were observed by Ozone Monitoring Instrument(OMI), averaged over the period 2005-2014. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 21, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Lelieveld at Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany, and colleagues was titled, "Abrupt recent trend changes in atmospheric nitrogen dioxide over the Middle East."
