Twilight, a Thoroughbred mare raised and stabled at Cornell University, was the DNA donor for the equine whole genome sequencing project. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Nov. 6, 2009, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Claire Wade of the Broad Institute in Cambridge, Mass., and colleagues, was titled, "Genome Sequence, Comparative Analysis, and Population Genetics of the Domestic Horse."
