This video describes our work in developing a synthetic heparan sulfate molecule which is protective against acetaminophen-induced liver failure. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Mar. 18, 2020, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by K. Arnold at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC; and colleagues was titled, "Design of anti-inflammatory heparan sulfate to protect against acetaminophen-induced acute liver failure."
