Figure: Patient Perceptions on the Use of an Auto-piloted Emergency Medical Transport (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Florida Institute of Technology found that consumers were fairly positive toward the idea of the traditional ambulance configuration, with a driver in the front and one paramedic in the back, while they had mixed feelings about the prospect of riding in an automated ambulance, even if it mean they would receive care from two paramedics instead of one. Women were less willing than men to go pilotless. This figure is part of a paper, titled 'Patient Perceptions on the Use of an Auto-piloted Emergency Medical Transport: An Affective Perspective.'
