Taking the Measure of Antibody Glycans (IMAGE)

Glycans on antibody drugs can significantly affect their safety and efficacy. A study conducted by NIST investigates how well pharmaceutical and research labs are equipped to measure this important post-translational modification. 76 labs (mapped at left) measured the glycans in samples of the same antibody and reported their findings (example glycan shown at right).
