This is the intravaginal ring developed by the Population Council. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Sept. 5, 2012, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. R. Singer at Population Council in New York, N.Y., and colleagues, was titled, "An Intravaginal Ring That Releases the NNRTI MIV-150 Reduces SHIV Transmission in Macaques."
