Enhanced Brain-machine Interface Taps into Additional Senses (IMAGE)

During the experiment, monkeys used their brain signals to move a computer cursor (red circle) to randomly placed targets (squares). When visual and proprioceptive feedback were included, the monkey’s hand was moved by a robotic exoskeleton. The additional sensory information resulted in the cursor hitting the target faster and more directly.
