Computer animation that depicts how inertial focusing and magnetic CTC isolation works. In this animation, the antigen-dependent capture mode of CTC-iChip is depicted. This animation relates to a paper that appeared in the April 3, 2013, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. E. Ozkumur at Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Engineering in Medicine in Boston, Mass., and colleagues was titled, “Inertial Focusing for Tumor Antigen–Dependent and Tumor Antigen–Independent Sorting of Rare Circulating Tumor Cells.”
