The Sporulation Process in <i>A. Longum</i> (VIDEO)

This video uses animation to piece together cryotomograms of Acetonema longum cells at different stages of the sporulation process. Cryotomograms appear in black and white. Inner membranes are shown in red, cell walls are shaded green, and outer membranes appear in blue. Notice that a piece of the inner membrane actually gets converted into the new cell's outer membrane.
