This video shows a windy day at drill camp A on the PIG ice shelf. The surface tower and hot water drill were still being assembled at the time this video was taken. This video relates to a paper that appeared in the 13 Sept., 2013, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by T.P. Stanton at Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., and colleagues was titled, "Channelized Ice Melting in the Ocean Boundary Layer Beneath Pine Island Glacier, Antarctica."
