1 in 7 People Living with HIV in the EU/EEA Are Not Aware of Their HIV Status

Based on country reports, the estimated total number of people living with HIV in the countries of the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA) is around 810,000 (0.2 percent adult population). The resulting estimated proportion of those living with undiagnosed HIV is 15 percent -- or 1 in 7.
