LGI1 Localization

Wild-type LGI1 is localized in the molecular layer of the hippocampus where synapses are formed (left), whereas mutant LGI1 is rapidly degraded within the cell body and is not transported to the synapse due to the mutation which causes the conformational defect of LGI1.
