Capillary Sorbent Hardware (IMAGE) NASA/Johnson Space Center Caption NASA astronaut Jack Fischer works with the capillary sorbent hardware, that is made up of 3-D printed contactors (center) with several capillary channels. The contactors, or capillary structures under investigation, are supported by tubing, valves, and a pump. This highly interactive experiment simulates the fluidics of a liquid sorbent system for the removal of CO2 from the air.
