An assemblage of ~ 390 million year old (Eifelian age of the Middle Devonian) marine fossils from the North Vernon Formation in Clark County, Indiana, including brachiopods, solitary rugose corals, a trilobite, a snail, bryozoans, and colonial rugose corals. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 28 Feb issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by M.L. Knope at University of Hawaii, Hilo in Hilo, HI, and colleagues was titled, "Ecologically diverse clades dominate the oceans via extinction resistance."
