Myc's Deadly Mistake (IMAGE)
Caption
Transcription factor SRF is an important commander of the cell's well-being genes. Myc, when expressed at high levels as in cancer cells, invades to control regions of the well-being genes and dismisses SRF from service. The study suggests that these events turn off the well-being genes and make cancer cells suicidal.
