A 5-year old restoration planting of a riparian area with native tree species in in an ecotonal region between the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado domains in northern Sao Paulo State, Brazil. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 08 Nov. 2017, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by R. Crouzeilles at International Institute for Sustainability in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and colleagues was titled, "Ecological restoration success is higher for natural regeneration than for active restoration in tropical forests."
