This image relates to an article that appeared in the July 13, 2007, issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Michael R. Burton and colleagues at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica a Vulcanologia in Catania, Italy, was titled "Magmatic Gas Composition Reveals the Source Depth of Slug-Driven Strombolian Explosive Activity."
