Paleoproterozoic vein-quartz-clast conglomerate in Chino Valley, central Arizona. These alluvial-fan and proximal braided-stream sediments were deposited in an extreme weathering environment in which all feldspar and mafic minerals except hematite were destroyed before deposition.
