Caption
A dust storm that started in Gansu blasted Beijing on 29 April 2011 and covered large areas of China in the ensuing days. Experiments were performed for the period 28 April 2011 to 3 May 2011, during which a sand-dust storm affected China and surrounding areas. The findings of this research have recently been published in Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, and the paper is featured on the front cover of the issue in which it appears (Volume 36, Issue 1).
