PET imaging of two molecules that trace GABA receptors revealed there was no difference in GABA receptor availability in the brains of adults with ASD compared to controls. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 3, 2018, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Horder at King's College London in London, UK, and colleagues was titled, " GABAA receptor availability is not altered in adults with autism spectrum disorder or in mouse models."
