Oxygen Tension-Mediated Erythrocyte Membrane Interactions Regulate Cerebral Capillary Hyperemia (1 of 1) (VIDEO)
Caption
The video is taken by the high speed camera (1900 pictures per second). It shows red cell flowing through the PDMS microfluidic channel that was used to mimic capillaries. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the May 29th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by S. Zhou at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, and colleagues was titled, "Oxygen tension-mediated erythrocyte membrane interactions regulate cerebral capillary hyperemia."
