Cas9/RecA system precisely repaired the gene mutation and partially restored the vision ability of rd1 mice. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the April 17th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by Y. Cai at University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, China, and colleagues was titled, " In vivo genome editing rescues photoreceptor degeneration via a Cas9/RecA-mediated homology-directed repair pathway."
