Cuttlefish Supplement 2 (VIDEO)
Caption
Calm, resting cuttlefish were exposed to silhouettes of looming crab, fish, and shark. The animals performed a freeze response for 80 percent of the generalized fish and shark stimuli, but the non-threatening crab didn't elicit response. Cuttlefish frequently covered their siphons with their arms in response to fish and shark stimuli, but rarely in response to crabs.
