The footage of a mussel's Lévy walk, shown twice during this video narration, is sped up to show about 30 frames per second (with 10 seconds between each frame). This video relates to an article that appeared in the June 24, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Monique de Jager at Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW) in Yerseke, Netherlands, and colleagues was titled, "Lévy Walks Evolve Through Interaction Between Movement and Environmental Complexity."
