Mapping The Global Network Of The Hypothalamus (IMAGE)
Caption
Scientists at USC have created a new model of the global network within the hypothalamus, the portion of the brain responsible for critical functions, such as thirst, hunger, and temperature regulation. They used a rat model, and they examined more than 40 years of research on the hypothalamus to develop this global network model.
