This shows the atomic resonance lamp used in test experiments to quantify ground- and excited-state nitrogen atoms in the reactor. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Dec. 16, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Daranlot at the Université de Bordeaux in Talence, France, and colleagues, was titled, “Revealing Atom-Radical Reactivity at Low Temperature Through the N + OH Reaction.”
