In 2007 OpenCourseWare introduced a companion web site, Highlights for High School. This companion web site was specifically targeted to high school teachers and students containing over 2600 resources that correspond to the U.S. Advanced Placement curricula for physics, calculus, and biology. This image relates to an essay that appeared in the July 30, 2010, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Cecilia d’Oliveira of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., and colleagues is titled, "MIT OpenCourseWare: Unlocking Knowledge, Empowering Minds."
