New study details air pollution's deadly toll in India (IMAGE)

Pollution takes many forms in India, including the use of poorly-ventilated stoves and open fires for cooking inside dwellings. The toll of both indoor and outdoor air pollution included the deaths of 1.67 million people in India in 2019, according to a new study in Lancet Planetary Health.
