How Noradrenaline Neurons Become Sensitive to Prozac (IMAGE)
Caption
1. Prozac blocks the recapture of serotonin by the transporter (SERT) which is present in the serotonergic neurons. 2. The signal (S100β) is emitted by the serotonergic neurons. 3.The drop in levels of one microRNA, miR16, unlocks SERT expression. The noradrenaline neurons become sensitive to Prozac.
