Four antlion lacewings species and an owlfly one from two sister families have been studied and their chromosome number estimated: [1] Palpares libelluloides (2n = 26), [2] Distoleon tetragrammicus (2n = 18), [3] Myrmecaelurus trigrammus (2n = 16), [4] Macronemurus bilineatus (2n = 16), and owlfly (Ascalaphidae) [5] Bubopsis hamatus (2n = 18). Arrows point to X and Y sex chromosomes.
