Postdoctoral researcher Wenli Meng, an expert in nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry in the Gierasch Lab at UMass Amherst, and colleagues conducted experiments showing that Hsp70s from mammalian cells behave quite differently from bacterial Hsp70s and they may lend themselves to modulation for therapeutic uses.
