An iron-potassium system transforms nitrogen into ammonia, in a model of the Haber-Bosch process that gives ammonia fertilizer. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 11, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. M.M. Rodriguez of University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y., and colleagues, was titled, "N2 Reduction and Hydrogenation to Ammonia by a Molecular Iron-Potassium Complex."
