UM Researchers Develop Model for Locating and Forecasting Sunken Oil Following Spills (3 of 3) (IMAGE)
Caption
These are images showing relative concentrations of sunken oil on the bottom of a bay inlet, assessed for a simulated spill scenario. The new computational model was developed by a team of researchers at the University of Miami headed by Dr. James Englehardt, UM professor of environmental engineering in the College of Engineering. The unique model can be used in oil spill planning, response and recovery applications.
