Functional Link between Nuclear RNA Decay & Transcriptional Control by Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (IMAGE)
Caption
In the absence of PAXT-mediated RNA decay, nuclear pA+ transcripts are stabilized. Excess RNA binds and out-titrates PRC2 from chromatin, and the interaction between complex subunits is disrupted. Normal PRC2-repressed loci show decreased H3K27me3 levels and correlates with increased an increase in transcription.
