A large self-assembled pattern of ferrofluid droplets is shown on a superhydrophobic surface. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the July 19, 2013, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Jaakko Timonen at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland, and colleagues was titled, "Switchable Static and Dynamic Self-Assembly of Magnetic Droplets on Superhydrophobic Surfaces."
