Vaccination with weakened strains of Salmonella may protect against other infections. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 27th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by S.H. Pennington at University of Liverpool in Liverpool, UK, and colleagues was titled, "Nonspecific effects of oral vaccination with live-attenuated Salmonella Typhi strain Ty21a."
