The number of newborns suffering from opioid withdrawal increased 15-fold in Ontario over 20 years, according to research published today in CMAJ Open by Dr. Suzanne Turner, a family physician at St. Michael's Hospital and lead author of the study, which used data from the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Studies.
