This is a new species of tree frog of the genus Phyllomedusa, yet to be described. It is active during the night and is also extremely poisonous, and occurs in areas of native vegetation surrounding São Paulo city. This image relates to an article that appeared in the June 11, 2010, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. C.A. Joly at State University of Campinas in Campinas, Brazil, and colleagues, is titled, "Biodiversity Conservation Research, Training, and Policy in São Paulo."
