The team's portable exosuit is made of textile components worn at the waist and thighs, and a mobile actuation system attached to the lower back which uses an algorithm that robustly predicts transitions between walking and running gaits. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 16 Aug., issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Kim at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, and colleagues was titled, "Reducing the metabolic rate of walking and running with a versatile."
